You will utilize many standard serger techniques while making this month’s project, the Flouncy Scarf. The Scarf can be made using many fabric types, from Polar Fleece to Chiffon. Also, the Flouncy Scarf can be added as a collar on a Sweatshirt makeover or Bog Coat. We’ll also work with Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Classic 10 to create a nice, bold edge.

Techniques this month: Working with Decorative Threads and non-standard serger thread, Rolled Hem/Edge, Decorative three-thread edge, Serging inside and outside curves and corners

Hi I'm PJ

Since 2006 I’ve been a teacher at Montavilla Sewing Centers in the Portland Metro area. I design, produce and teach the monthly projects for Babylock Serger Club, Janome, BabyLock and Brother Machine Embroidery Club, and 8” Block of the month Club.

I have a lot of fun creating projects, designs, and patterns that incorporate techniques and products to encourage the students to get the most out of their Sergers or Embroidery Machines.
